my guess is you are using win 98? I get that on my laptop running winME - it all worked before the steam update and now its shafted but winXp works fine
you may have to leave your beloved win98 behind jmax!

Nope - I'll leave Source behind instead ... it's only the HL2 based games that don't work, everything else is fine, so I'll just roll back the uni server to 1.6 and never pay Valve for any software ever again!

Well, it's 48 hours on from the mother of all update fuck-ups and despite a detailed bug report to Valve I've not even received an acknowledgement - looks like the students at the Uni will be making maps for UT and playing on a UT2004 server if they keep up this silence!

I expect they're snowed under with emails reporting what we experienced which was actually a Mani admin plugin bug and not their fault (much) and so they're probably weeding through outraged cries for help as we speak and your genuine complaint is lost somewhere in amongst the dumbasses.
