Subject: Not for the faint hearted....

... just over a week ago when Susan was here, she noticed some dark spots on around my hips but being a passionate girl and quite able to take the tops off her own jars (and well pretty much anything else for that matter) she put it down to finger-tip sized bruises that she had inflicted upon me in her ecstacy (don't worry we've come to the end of this line of the narrative). At about the same time I noticed I was a bit itchy around my naval but put it down to the warm weather and my propensity to sweat profusely under such conditions especially in all those little nooks and crannies (see parentheses above). So time passes... Today, it was another lovely day and so I headed off into town to enjoy a beer at the outdoor jazz festival before wondering off up the eponymous Mont Royal to chill, read my new scientist and eat ice-cream. Well there I was contemplating my naval as one does and I start to thinking it looks a little grubby so with nary a glance to check who was looking I commenced a little personal grooming and sure enough I found that those little specs of dirt came off a treat. In fact not only the stuf that I picked off but the rest as well as if by magic so I inspected the mite a little closer and guess what - it waved at me! So time passes and my hysteria has started to plateau a little as I write. Luckily the chemist sells handy little tubes of cream to deal with my visitors but just to make sure, I got a little carried away with the personal grooming thing and so I am currently sat here, not only smeared liberally from head to foot with anti-scabes cream but with a bald head, under-arms, stomach and well, suffice it to say, my turkey is plucked. Will post photos soon......

... thing is scabes is meant to be under the skin (the pharmacist assures me that the cream deals just as well with crabs which is reassuring - I think). The only explanation I can think of (apart from the whole of my body being medically reclassified as genitals) is that it was *such* a lovely day that the little darlings had decided to catch some rays
