so its up to you lot now. I don't mind whether I play 1.5 or 1.6 - my personal opinion is we've played a lot of 1.5 and we should maybe give 1.6 a try before we write it off but then again, if its a lot of hassle then I can also see the argument for sticking with what works. So far it sounds like rex, J to the M A X, me and moleman have upgraded so we've got a way to go before 1.6 becomes a realistic possiblity anyhow. But its there and its working if anyone wants to try it its in /usr/steam/hlds_l just type ./runserver and it will start up if its not already up - I'm running it at work and on an evening to try to give you all a chance to test your upgrades. On the down side of 1.6 is the relative lack of maps - anyone know if we can copy them over? On the upside is the much sweeter interface - there's no need for HL protocol anymore, I have montreal.globalcs.org favourited in my server list so its always there. Anyone know how to use the bots? Last thing: if anyone wants to asend me their steam ID then go to the console and enter status this will give you a whole string of shit but in there will be something that looks like STEAM_ID:0:2233445 please send me this - cheers!
