I have no idea why stix has so many problems. You log out of steam then create a new account - simple as that. In terms of downloading and storing games, the gcf files are the majority parts of the games and they are shared between accounts so you don't need to download the same game twice. Apart from that, follow grix.

I've got a feeling that when stix bought his hl2 online he got it through a new steam account the details of which are currently unknown... I'm just reloading steam and it has loaded source no probs just from entering my username and password.

In the main steam interface (6 buttons with games, servers, news etc) there should be a "settings" (its not easy to type when you're making quotation marks in the air) button and on that tab there should be an option to log in as a different user or logout or something like that (working from memory as I don't have steam on this machine).

it does warn against this is that just valve trying to stop people getting the best out of the system
