Aw geee, guys. thanks for all your kind words. was great to speak to the kiwis last night - a lovely treat out of the blue. we were hiding things at the party - when have you ever known paula not to drink? nix, but of course you can be anti-god child. I can think of nobody better to try and lead a child towards righteousness. Having said that, it appears that Hex has managed to become a smart, sussed and independantly minded kid, despite your best efforts On the subject of misleading children, as you probably know there is a case in the US at the moment where some parents have taken a school board to court as the school are insisting that the kids are taught "intelligent design" as well as Darwinian evolution in biology. Commenting on the case, a supporter of intelligent design theory was quoted as saying, without any apparent sense of irony, that "if there is no ultimate creator then all we are is a bunch of monkeys running about on a lump of rock that is hurtling through space". Like, duh. Couldn't put it better myself.

Really? I'm touched that you would make my demise a tribute to Marvin Gaye. As Peter said, "I am not worthy to die as he did. You'll need to turn me upside down first, then shoot me in the nuts." So but 17s ok then eh?
