hi ted, yes it is me indeed. we actually walked up ben a'an last summer, very nice it was too. i agree about the cobbler but the bit at the top is too steep sadly.
i was thinking about the lost valley but i think there is one bit where you walk along a path next to a wee gorge. means nothing to you or i but sara would be bricking it as much as i was on aonach eigach with nick !
(and i was really bricking it)

There's a nice wee walk at Pollok Park, with a number of small hills thrown in for good measure. I find it ideal for walking the energy off a toddler (and you could categorise a young woman in that camp as well) and it has even got a highland cow experience as well. Once your woman's high heels (or your's) start to break skin you could always have a decent coffee at the Burrel collection.
Save fuel, avoid vertigo and the hassle of following every man and their dug going up the Cobbler.

There's a good gym at Finneston with those treadmills that tilt up and down so you can walk next to each other and you can go faster and steeper than her but you don't get seperated

voila, what an exceptional idea mex. Do you think they would go the extra mile (excuse the pun) and put up a big poster of the highlands in front of dempsy and his woman in the gymn, surround him by a load of twats with silly shorts and rucksacks talking about their second home in Argyll, (not all English though but the vast majority), throw a few ticks and midges in and away, a real life experience.

ignore them demps - go check out my suggestions in the monroe book. its all about familiarity, the more time she spends up easy non-scary mountains the more you will be able to gradually increase the exposure. She will likely never be happy to do the ridge walks but she will become more adventurous with time so long as you ignore these idiots
