hi.
i like walking up hills but my good lady is fearty. so can you knowledgeable types recommend good hills to walk up that don't have 'exciting' bits?
ie what you might call boring.

loads of pretty easy-peasy stuff in perthshire. ben vrackie above pitlochry is a doozer. lawers and schiehallion also pretty good bets. steady climbs and 3000ft+ but no exposed ridges or scrambling. have fun.

The Drumochter hills are pretty undramatic (raised eat bogs)
The Glenshee and lochnagar hills aren't particularly spectacular either and the mamlorns probably offer some good opportunities for walks with very little quickening of the pulse

here in the adirondacks you can go up steep stuff without ever having to be aware of it cos its all wooded so you cant see anything till you're right at the top

I'd go for schiehallion as the woox suggested for maximum return for effort

I think its a little exposed - not very much granted - but we're really talking about someone who is very very scared of heights and wants to go up a few hills where exposure is not even remotely hinted at.

try Ben A'an in teh Trossachs. More bangs per buck it is harder to find.
Oh, by the way, not sure if I am allowed to offer opinion. but if I am that would be it. then the Cobbler (minus the eye of the needle) though at the top you do put your hands down. Still the best hill in Scotland. Or Lost Valley (but not the back wall) in Glen Coe (true feel of the wilds with no effort). Was there last week yet again with a novice. Or Benaint on Ardnamurchan. Blah blah blah. Could go on but if you do them and she ain't kaking her pants ask for more Demps (if you are who I think you are).
Anyway, that my 1st posting on the site. Like it lots though you all speak loads of shite. which is probably why...
