it is still on fix the chalet is booked from the 10th till the 20th July. other notes: 1) KILTS ARE WELCOME!! all you Scots - please come in the full gear but remember to pack your knives in checked baggage 2) some of you may have noticed that I haven't asked any of you to be my best man. there are several possible reasons for this for which you can choose from the following: I don't like any of you enough; I figured you don't like me enough and I'd save myself the embarrassment of a knock-back; its not part of Romanian tradition but part of Romanian tradition IS that anyone with anything to say gets to make a speech - I know that several of you are great orators and that you wont let me down 3) some of our Romanian friends are traveling from Bucharest to Busteni on the 11th by train and are happy to meet up and escort or inform others. Please email us for details

I agree, but we're still going anyway, in an Eastern European Vacation type convoy through Hungary to Romania with ted and his family. My kilt will be in attendance, but it would be good to know there will be some others, so I'm not the only one answering questions about why I'm wearing a skirt.

Fantastic! Phil is up for wearing a skirt too Inside info from Ral and family: Your friends/ need to know: - Flytaxi is a company they have on the airport. A ride to the Central Station "Gara de nord" is 12-15 euros. - It is not advised to use credit cards in restaurants. They can copy your info and steal from it. (I am told.) - They should rely on euros here rather than pounds because they are easier to exchange. The exchange rate is 3.63 RON - 1 euro. RON stands for new "lei" which is the Romanian currency. If we pick them up from the airport and take them to Busteni straight away, we will take them to a bank on our way to exchange some money. They should not exchange money on the airport since the exchange rate is crap. - Rachel, Mami and Darren however should exchange 100 euros on the airport among themselves to cover the taxi to the central station and their train rides from Bucharest to Busteni. I will also write to them on Facebook. - Your friends should rent a car on the airport. "Logan" is the revamped Romanian brand with Renault. It is cheaper and it is fine. They can rent whatever they want though. I will give up more dope as I get it Now back to celebrating Canada day for me: "Au Canada! Our home on native land. True patriot love in all your sons command......"
