Subject: That is pretty cool - which version of Linux you using?
I was thinking of doing that with my two AMD 1600s but I ended up using one as a linux server and the other as a games and email machine so that screwed it. I'll have to live this particular geek experience vicariously through you.
BTW have you discovered knoppix yet - the OS that doesn't require you to have a pesky hard drive - just boot from a cd and it comes up with fully fledged GUI - very useful for testing a just built system where the HD is fucked but you're not sure.
Did I tell you that I commissioned a super system for work with 2 hyperthreaded Xeon 2.4Ghz and a Gig of dual channel memory. This is the first machine I've ever bought where I can't believe how powerful it is - it will happily run four copies of windfarmer all simultaneously doing zvis and you can still browse and write emails with no noticable performance problems - man its hot. Unfortunately I've had to install xp pro on it but even with that its unhangable (shows up as four processors under task manager and the hyperthreading really works).

Subject: anyone know of any free software that lets you play DVDs from any region without flashing the ROM
thinking of installing linux on one or both of my laptops so that I can play my US and UK DVDs without incrementing the countdown on my DVD everytime I switch regions. If there's linux software out there to do this then that's all the reason I need to get off my fat arse and do it.
Please post links as I am terminally lazy and pathetically resourceless.
