but my fucking computer was really messing with my head, windows 2000 wasnt liking counter strike at all and then windows 98 wasnt letting me even into the operating system.. anyway after 3 hours of fucking with it i got it too work and finally logged onto the server, which took fecking ages to log on, i was going to give up, but i had one last try and whilst doing this i had a cheeky wee smoke, which totally screwed me up as i wasnt expecting to get online, and lo and behold i was home, the problem was i was so fucked that i actually got scared whilst playing the game, paranoia i know.... anyway i will be kicking arse next time as i now have it all set up and its working fine.. though i will be upgrading my machine as soon as i can.... anyway guys speak to you soon and have a good weekend.,.. oh and is it your b'day today nix... if so happy birthday you old bastard - a present will be in your account tomorrow.... - a not so cocky dex

Yip, I was having problems o Thurs night, sorry for not catching you guys up. I did bump into Jimmy Mac though. I'm most likely to be up for Friday eve, yippee. I am experiencing a few probs and was wondering if any of you guys can help. 1) What the hell can i do to get rid of the 'incoming connection alert'. It messes with me computer and me head.. 2) When I'm signed up i am getting kicked off. I'm on the BT internet yahoo, sorry boohoo, shit. Any solutions apart from change provider. Cheers guys

sorry fix buts its time too sit down and work out how your compter works i am having no problems with my bt connection, though its not bt broadban yahoo its just bt and its ok.. maybe turn your firewall software off

Sorry Stix but I think you need geek help (I'm not even pre-geek). All I know is terminology but not what it means or how to configure stuff. However the incoming connection problem does sound like a firewall configuration thing. That's it, I've reached my limit already! Before I play I hit CTRL ALT DEL to check what wanker Gates has decided is best for me and close everything except the bare essentials. If anyone wants, I just put ad-aware 6 pro on my machine and despite a hardware firewall on the broadband connection and zone alarm on my machine it found lots of nasty little spyware thingymajigs and deleted the the lot. If anyone wants it I can email it with a keygen to them (about 3mb) also handy plugins (another meg). Let me know while I still have broadband - defo until end of Feb and am considering staying till end of march. It's snowing heavily in Berlin today!
