Subject: dangling at the end of my tether......

this I am thinking its a ubuntu fault? can get it to come up in add>printer, so I think I will try and install another linux version on my windows pc - dual boot. What release is recommended

The keygen I have (somewhere) works great but I always run it inside sandboxie on a spare machine with no internet.

umm so going back thru <a https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems>this faq and when I try lsmod | grep usb I dont get anything returned have had search for add kernel modules but not had any joy yet, any ideas?

If the machine is connected to the internet I can help you:
- add me as a user to the system
- install and run openssh server
- you ssh to one of my servers
- I can then ssh back down the connection and login to your machine
just need to arrange a time and organise over skype
