stuck trying to run a keygen for illistor any tips as where to find one....... tried loads of sites and cant get them running on my xp laptop......

so unable to get windows working so going back to try ubuntu, I am trying to pipe an hpgl file to my cutter as a test the command i am using is " cat desktop/hpgl > /dev/ttyUSB001 " and getting permission denied so tried to chmod 777 USB001 and get no such file or directory so ran lsusb and get Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 002: ID 13d3:5126 IMC Networks Bus 001 Device 005: ID 054c:0439 Sony Corp. its port 5 im trying to use, i tried ttyUSB005 but still denied. Any help welcome..................

it will be /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/ttyUSB1 or /dev/ttyUSB2 etc not 001, 002

cool mex, I was not able to get the other two I found to work dont know wtf is going on - if you find your can you see if it works then send it to me? thnaks grx I should have read my mantra - when all else fails try the bleeding obvious

Yup check the USB port by plugging in the cutter and then run dmesg At the end of this you should see info about a USB port

Adobe key gens are mostly malware - you also have to block your computer from reaching adobe update sites using your local hosts file or else the updated will invalidate your license I would only run a keygen on a throwaway virtual machine without access to any other vm or network Use virtual box for this.

trying to get away from adobe but need to get cutting machine working some how till ive worked out how to run it thru ubuntu ( got ane machine with xp and other with ubuntu) but need to know if am i on the right path trying pipe the hpgl test page to the usb port on ubuntu machine? ive found some relly usefull stuff here
