its easy enough, whoever you are just email me and I'll give you the username and password to access the server. Mex, if you can admin then it probably makes sense for you to start the server as well.

Yes dex is better qualified but he is also notoriously unreliable (sorry dex) so probably not a good idea to rely on him to start the server.
try
here and download the zip or windows installer with them all in.
if you log on as the global user, then you just need to type in
cd /usr/local/games/hlds/hlds_l <enter>
./runserver <enter>
and its up and away - you just need to keep that terminal window open then or the server will stop.
Dex if you wanna do it and you're sure you'll be there start to finish then email me. Also, if you wanna be an admin, let me know.
