Cheers moleman for rescuing me from an embarrassing converstaion with myself. Just for that I might just go easy on you tomorrow! I managed to get a free program called browsercall that allows autoruns to start html pages so that's sorted, now I'd like to find the code for launching exe's also for opening a folder without closing the browser! I don't know why that happens. If I knew what Active X Controls were and how to write them I probably wouldn't be needing to ask these questions in the first place!

Sure you can get HTML files to autorun off CD, just autorun the default browser as a second command in the autorun.inf ...

problem is not everyone has the same default browser. Anyway I've cracked that one, it's the launch exe from the html page that I can't get!
