BT works fine with CS.. with my 1/2 meg pipe i get download speeds of up 65k so its pretty damn good, i have been leaving machine on and downloading shed loads of software using bit torrent and apart from occasional lockups due to my machine being shit its fine!!! good to hear that your machine is up and running again stix. fab. oh and i will be staying at stix's in a couple of weeks so will be good too see you guys at some point, will have my lady friend with me as well so dont think a computer session will be on so will have to do sensible things like go to the pub, clubbing and generally catching up with you guys in the real world. i think i may have sorted cs out finally, have got a new copy of game and installed it within windows2k and its working and not in jerk a vision, great

i thought 29th was the grand opening the idea was to package off non-gamers (and under twos) wasn't it? or has the weekend been subverted by reality

Playing the Simpsons map is plain fekking weird ... seems like it should be a Half-Life map more than CS ...

...to the server. so newly working tonight are: cs_desert - I know grix hates this map but I think its useful to have available for a 2 on 1 say. de_maresa - dunno why I got this one working as I ALWAYS get my ass kicked on this map - very interconnected and 3d - I never did work out the shape of this level. de_celtic - take a look at this map on your own and you start to appreciate it more - incredibly interconnected and 3 dimensional cs_altosierra - I still think this is one of the more beuatiful maps going and I'll volunteer to go on the defending side as its proven hardto defend in the past. We will definitely be playing the last three tonight at some point so if you don't like foreign maps - go have a sneeky look beforehand. JMax - don't have your new map on the server yet but if you wanna go install it then the global user has the access rights and if your download is now working then lets have a shot on it tonight.

playing maps is one thing, having "sneaky looks" before is just a bit too sad! At least Nix is admiting to it these days, unlike in Alison Stret where he'd run maps no one had played before claiming he didn't know them either but had an uncanny knack of always managing to get round behind and shooting you! I'd like to put in a request for Arab Streets tonight.
