Indeed, badly compiled maps do require .wad and other files to be located in strange places relative to the .bsp, however, well compiled maps should bundle the .wad file within the .bsp making the .bsp totally self-contained. It's all down to how well the map developer uses WorldCraft ... It would be time-consuming for me to run through each map on the server looking for anomalies, so let me know by email which maps you've had problems with and I'll upload them to your machine when I get chance ...

Sounds like you know what you're doing... I would get the CZ machine sorted out first as it needs the most stuff. Steam always tells you how much before you download a game and gives you the option of cancelling and then there's the updates but you can uncheck the "automatically keep this game up-to-date" option (or whatever its called) if you need to although really its best if everyone stays up-to-date all the time cos then there's no confusion. The CZ machine wants CZ, not deleted scenes (for now while bandwidth is tight) and Counter-Strike (1.6) so you can play with us. Don't know if you also need/get Half-life. The machine whose steam account has the 1.5 HL cd key wants to download Counter-Strike and possibly Half-Life and that's it. Is your limit based on Calendar months? Cos if so now would be a good time to do your downloading I guess. Eventually of course you may have both accounts installed on both machines (disk space notwithstanding) but this should get you online and scrapping. Don't install project gordon - I downloaded thinking hey great not played one of those in ages - now I remember why p.s. one confusing thing is that when steam installs your games they have nothing in the way of maps etc but that's because the default ones come in a different format. You can just go ahead and stick stuff in your cstrike directory just like 1.5
