so have a two phase plan which will be put into action this week and completed within the month. First I need diagnostic software which can preferably be run at a distance over SSH Am pretty sure that my hardware is fucked though and so I've been pricing up new MB+CPU+RAM and it comes to $280 + tax for a 3000+ sempron with 512kb cache and 512MB or 400mhz DDR or $190+tax for a 2300+ but I think this is a waste of money. So, what I am suggesting is that 4-6 of you become Friends of Montreal.Globals.Org and contribute 25 quid (nothing for one person but it quickly mounts up if you all contribute) - if I get a full turnout I will buy more memory. For your subscription you get any email you like @freethechimp.com and any email you like @globalcs.org plus full admin rights on both the CS:S server and the HL2 DM server as well as instructions on how to start and stop the servers and of course no more annoying server crashes. The way it works is that you sign up to this thread and I email you my bank details and you transfer money to my UK account (5 minutes on the internet) You know am gonna fix this anyway but I thought I'd run this one up the flagpole to see if it floats . I don't need a new server for my own personal use - the one I've got works just fine for file serving etc so this upgrade is purely to get rid of the annoying HLDS crashes. I think with the new big levelsthat are coming out that a new server might be needed even if the hardware wasn't shot.
