SO the Neilsons have finally finished downloading their update to Steam (maybe you should both startup HL2 DM just ot make sure it is updated too?) and so they're now ready to play (only a few days too late). I am looking after a very silly little doggy named Wuss this weekend so I am tied to the house. Am looking to spend the next several weekends away so lets cram as much gaming as everyone needs into this weekend. The first and main event is 6am EST = 11am BST = 10pm NZT or we can go for 5am EST = 10am BST = 9pm NZT - vote now! Other impromptu sessions can be arranged during the weekend. Grix: how does slackware cope with new hardware? What will happen when I boot linux with a new MB+CPU+RAM? Please contact me to discuss/instruct the most failsafe and quick way of doing this.

the drivers (kernel modules) will be loaded automatically let me know the exact make model of mobo and i will check up but there should be no problems....

you have to reinstall slackware 10 and install the linux 2.6.* kernel rather than the 2.4.* kernel

yeah for this weekend am gonna concentrate on getting my inspiron laptop setup as a linux or maybe even a windows game server. In fact yes, a windows game server might be best just for this weekend to avoid problems. Wanna get maximum bang for my FOMGOs buck so will probably order new hardware from an online store.
