about to hand in my notice to my boss who has Narcissistic Personality Disorder
should be fun!
from googling:
"People with narcissistic personality exhibit a persistent pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration and a lack of empathy.
They have an exaggerated sense of self-importance, are absorbed by fantasies of unlimited success, and seek constant attention.
The narcissistic personality is oversensitive to failure and often complains of multiple somatic symptoms.
Prone to extreme mood swings between self-admiration and insecurity, these people tend to exploit interpersonal relationships.
Onset is early adulthood.
Some of the typical signs are:
* grandiose sense of self-importance.
* exaggerates achievements and talents
* preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love
* believes that he is 'special' and 'unique' and can only be understood by, or should associate with other special or high-status people
* requires excessive admiration
* sense of entitlement. (unreasonable expectation of special treatment by others)
* interpersonally exploitative.. uses others to his advantage
* lacks empathy
* envious of others
* arrogant behavior and attitude."

he looked very surprised, said nothing and sat and rubbed his head like a chimp - he is now at his desk staring out of the window, the office is silent, just me and him in at the moment...

You're in more danger than you know. A kid in UK has just got life for killing his parents with a claw hammer. He admitted manslaughter with diminished responsibility. He suffers from "narcissistic personality disorder".
So yeah, keep posting every 15 mins.

i think you'll have to print out a hard copy and send by registered mail and dont forget to record all conversations. He is insane enough to try and fuck you up for good. I'll be checking the brake cables for the next couple of months

Subject: why are bosses such big kids
the last two jobs i resigned from one of 9 years duration and the other 5 years (hardly a job tart) each time the boss got the right arse ache (not throught any action of mine i would add) in the first instance i was sent on gardening leave (dont like gardening) and the second my access was restricted, in the end there wasnt much i could do.
its as if they take it very personally even when the reason for leaving is clearly not because of the company. !!!!
My advice is sit back and enjoy your last few days, or weeks and watch out for claw hammers..........................
