not having trouble logging on but skype is very flakey I find: not delivering messages; saying people are unavailable when they're not; and so on - over-subscribed is my impression

any further forward with teamspeak, that can have many channels, private if you want so people can chat in a group or just one to one they can be open or individually passworded as well

I have omitted the carrats so that the link isnt rendered

ps yes have google talk as well at work, though not used it .. should try some time the chat part is good

Skype seems to be over it's little episode and is working fine again with the latest version (1.4). Best thing about skype for me is it stores contacts on a .central servr so you can log on from anywhere and it brings up all your contacts
