if you're like me and have trouble generally finding your arse with both hands then you're gonna love ubuntu linux. at last its linux for dummies. I don't even think of it as linux - more as just a very neat, free, user freindly OS with a universe of free software which it finds and installs with zero configuration. seriously its taking me a while to get used to it but if you've got even the first notion about unix or linux then ubuntu is a breeze it looks beautiful and it just works only remotely techy things I've come across are to do with permissions to access netword shares and windows drives etc but even for these all you do is open a terminal and login as root and run your file manager or samba client from there - perfect! i love it when I don't have to learn anything in order to learn something new
