Officially homeless until start of next month, then move into pad with broadband, yipee. At the moment it has a cable modem with only one ethernet socket. To share it with my flatmate's computer all is I need is a 2 or more port router, correct?

yeah got them last weekend .. but had an early start away for the week so first chance will be this monday... but it will be done...

correct. ideally get a wireless gateway/router and then you're sorted and to save you the effort of staying up all night trying to think of a wise ass comment, you can but wifi adapters for pcs which it into your usb port. this will save you draping cables about the place. you may need to call up the the ISP to get details on how to get the router configured but prolly not. go for it. hope the weather stays nice while you're sleeping on the street.

went to the post office but it was only £110 for that car not 150 so i amended your cheque and got a receipt and disc for 110... hope that's what goes through your bank. will special delivery to your folks place but might miss post this week as i'm running late...
