Hi grix and dex,
Yeah, went for informal interview withy Scottish Power at Cathcart for WF Development Project Manager. I went looking as though I had partied for 3 days and was dressed to match (unironed ripped shirt, old cords, my brown trench coat and no tie). I said that i didn't tend to do the corporate dress thing and he pointed to his prisitine white shirt and grey flannels and said he was the same.
The bottom line is that the job they are offering is right up my street and if successful they are throwing in commercial, O&M and construction training. The salary is very healthy and I am very tempted if i get the offer. And it will save me a hell of a lot of time and money in travelling to Perth.
Interstingly they said that they were not desparate to fill the position and would rather not taken on someone. I said that i wasn't desparate either (and I am not) and didn't apply for too many jobs. That went down pretty well. I also asked about their expecations as I was not wanting nailed to the mast if I did not get any success. Again he said as long as you try your best that's all they want.
I will keep you posted but i did get a call from one of the managers yesterday who confirmed that the feedback on the meetings I have had are positive and should hear next week.
I am also waiting on my first consent on 8th May for a 32MW site in Caithness which will look good on the CV if Scottish Power doesn't come off for some reason.

And yes parting, I continued partying after Dex's stag weekend into Monday night until 5am Tues morning. Sandra came back yesterday and I was well partied out. Was with big Stu and Giles.
Anyway, it's not finished, another party on Friday eve then I need to start thinking about Dex's wedding
