here, let me start: do you think that pointy shoes should be limited to evening dress or are nice shoes nice shoes regardless of venue or time of day?
oh and here is another: how do people feel about wearing designer shirts with non-designer jeans?
oh and what kind of shoes would go with that?

i find that when it's cold, tucking your shirt into your pants adds extra warmth around the arse area. don't be afraid that it might be a bit middle aged - nobody can see! get that baby stuffed right down there and feel allllll cozeeee. real pros combine this technique with the vest tuck.

i don't know- all those years i've spent tucking in my shirt, wearing pointy shoes wiv anything, anytime, and suffering the hilarious sartorial wit and repartee from my 'friends' that resulted!!
and now, it seems i was right all along...

I think the haute couture of vest & shirt tucking has to be the sweater tuck
which I feel has not been combined with the "socks & sandals" as much as it could. The closet I have ever seen were the Edinburgh Hibees fans in the 80s with tucked in sweaters, stonewashed jeans, white socks and loafers (I think thats what they were called)
I do wish I had lived when cardigan sweaters were cool though. Men had it so good in the 50s.
