yup it drifts...its supposed to sync to ntp servers to stop thta but obviously something is not quite right

Aah, I see ... I get about a drift of around 4 minutes per annum on my newer box (4 years old!, but yours is clearly on a more adventurous wander there! Must be the Kiwi influence and the 2-year OS factor ...
