Subject: my mum's car is for sale - its a dream
Honda Civic 1.6 VTech ESI L Reg 1994 blue-silvery automatic
21,000 miles full service history - two owners - first owner only drove it a few hundred miles - all the rest is my mum going to the shops, kept in garage
Road Tax up by end of May
Anyone interested?
Any idea of price as garage has offered her only £250 which seems ludicrous!

need to wait another 20 years, 1974 is the beginning of "classic cars" for road tax exemptions.

is that the same one that you to tried to integrate with the wall at the end of my drive?
it is a nice colour - I can still see a streak of metallic blue paint on the gatepost

if there is no rust it would be worth here at least $4500-$5000
Hondas are good for at least 300,000km (standards anyway) if they dont fall apart from rust. I bought a 1994 honda civic a couple of years ago for $3500 and that was a good price and it was rusty with over 150,000km on the clock.
Thing is with the harsh winters and long distances people over here really value japanese cars whereas am not sure thats the case where you are. Hondas here are THE car which keeps its value best with time. People know them as extremely reliable. I left one outside encased in ice while I was in NZ for 3 months and when I got back (and after a day of digging it out) it started first time.
If its been kept in a garage and so not rusty, its definitely worth a couple of thousand pounds and thats assuming that cars over there are as cheap as over here.
I think we need to find a gnx buyer to stop the dirty fucking garage getting their hands on it.
