Subject: anyone else playing with Windows 10?

I put it on a tablet that I never use. It seems way better than 8 or 8.1. Still gonna wait to change my main machines over. Anyone else got any experience of the upgrade?

I'm still waiting for my free upgrade. If I don't like it I'll just re-install 7. Windows 8 is horrendous.

Got it and not very impressed - seems to be running slower than Windows 7, maybe it needs a clean install.

Yes I saw all that stuff about privacy. Clearly the disk encryption is all but pointless. The other stuff I will most likely disable as I don't give a fuck about Cortana. All I want is the best version of the Kernel for running software etc. I should really install Windows server but it is too expensive. Only putting this on laptops and tablets so far to see how well it works. Leaving my main machines out till I see if the Kernel is really that much better. It is way better than 8.1 though from what I've seen on my tablet.

Not entirely painless as I had to disable windows drivers for my sound card but during the installation process you now get asked if you want Satya spying on you and I said no so I'm sure it's all just fine then. Like the new OS though. Just need a VPN client that works with Cisco and Windows 10 now...

I am using it, was relatively painless other than the black screen that appeared once it has installed ... turns out it was using the disabled video card as the primary screen.... once i had get passed that problem it was fine .. and i quite like it
