some
astophysicists reckon the time dimension becomes a spatial dimension in 2012.
should be interesting

....to start packing on the pounds as if we become four dimensional too then our weight becomes proportional to our waistline raised to the fourth power (rather than cube)
in layman's terms then: if my current weight of 180lbs can be broken down approximately as
180lbs = k * waistline^3
and my waist is say 32" (sorry for the north american units my euro chums) then k = 180/(32*32*32) = 0.00549 and so the four dimensional me would weigh
0.00549 * 32*32*32*32 = 5760lbs! and that is before I start eating those yummy four dimensional donuts!!
On the other hand, if space goes four dimensional but we stay three dimensional then liposuction will no longer require surgery

if we swap time for another space dimension will all motion cease?

good point as motion or velocity is distance traveled over time taken
so even if we do become fat as grix suggested there would be no time to do anything about it (this sounds familiar - could this have already happened?)
either way though, I think I would still find time to worry about it
