make every yank I meet say the words "you are right, scotch whisky is far far better than the crap we drink...". As part of my cultural mission I recently took a bottle of macallan to a party where several of the guys were taking "whisky" (pronounced piss) and ooh guess what, lots of untouched bottles of bourbon and one empty bottle of scotch [even after I'd introduced it with my characteristic diplomatic style as "here, this is the real stuff not that witchpiss that you call whisky"].
