Subject: very hard to cirucmvent a proxy server
as all ports will be monitered, infact its impossible as the only way you can see out is through there main connection and that will have the firewall, and proxy.. so stop looking for porn

Subject: bypassing a proxy
try
this
or try unchecking "use a Proxy server" under Internet Options Connections tab
it all depends how well the firewall is set up. The firewall will allow some web traffic through but may redirect to a non standard port or only to and from the proxy BUT it may be that the machines are set up to use a proxy but the firewall may not be configured completely securely
it would surprise me if everyone went through the proxy - the network admins for instance may not as they will have set up the proxy and firewall

just don't look at anything illegal as its quite possible that all web page requests are logged whether through the proxy or not
