...if you have lots of pc 133 SDRAM then you might want to get a KT7A (same MB as me) although you'd have to check that you can get a chip to fit it. If you don't have stacks of RAM that you're loath to lose then move on up to the newer faster stuff by all means but factor this into your costs. also, is your case ATX cos if its an old AT case then you need to replace that too. Even if its an old ATX case then you need to check that your power supply is big enough. We used to buy 200W power supplies not so long ago but recently I've been buying 400W and above in order to feed all these power hungry Athlon processors and GeForce video cards. The thing is though that your machine is probably so old that anything is gonna be tons better than what you've got. For 400 squid you can buy a pretty kick-ass system from www.infiniti.co.uk look under systems and then check out the gamer range. this includes a 17" monitor as well and I'm sure you can get them to swap the modem for a NIC. Get whoring that ass of yours boy!

maybe he thinks that if he gets all his mates to upgrade their computers, he wont need to bother? Shouldn't be too critical though, afterall he may well have been pointing it out as "OMG aren't computers expensive!
