good fun the other night although after 3hours plus of fucking around getting everything working me and rex (well rex mainly) were frazzled before we even started! Was very pleased with my new toy. Anyone know why we seem to have lost the use of the number pad keys on a few of our machines? Basically it means we can't duck. If you press Ins on the number pad when setting controls it assigns it to Insert above the arrows. I've had a look for patches but can't find anything. We've checked the obvious like scroll lock and num lock.
Glasgow players if we're gonna play at rex's and the game starts at 10, don't turn up with your machine at 9.45 unless you're prepared to sort it all out yourself so the others can get on with playing. I think we should get everything set up nice and early so we can have a wee breather before the game starts.

Err, when I wrote that 'we' had checked the obvious like Num Lock, actually I was told it had been tried and made no differance, so didn't bother trying it myself. Obviously I'm far too busy to spend time trying things that I've been told have already been tried but somehow I managed to make some space in my busy schedule to check it and basically if you engage Num Lock, the number pad keys do work (at least on my machine with an external keyboard plugged in).
Sorry I wasn't able to phrase this in more geeklike language, or involve editing the registry or changing the bios settings but I am only vice -geek after all. Bollocks, I spent a duckless, crouch jumpless night for nothing.

....that's good though that it was the num lock cos otherwise it would have had to have been voodoo.
Is there an emoticon for DUMBASS?

that's good that you all get a taste of what grix and I (and I suppose later dex) had to do for you all for 3 years - you've made my week
