Subject: Some Info for Friday
the password (which half-life protocol will prompt you for) is "knuckles".
There are two types of map voting:
1) the type when you get a list in white on the left of your screen and you press a number to vote for one of the options given
2) (and no-one seems to have got the hang of this one yet) when I enable map voting, you can vote for any map you like by simply saying "vote <mapname>" i.e. you go to say something by typing a "y" as usual and then you type the word "vote" followed by a space and then the mapname in the form of e.g. "cs_rio" so you would say vote cs_rio and the game registers and counts the votes and if enough ppl want the same map then it gets automagically changed - cool eh?
3) you nag me or mex or jimmy_mac to change map
Option 2 relieves the admins of having to choose joe's favourite map over demetrie's and thus avoids risking upsetting joe - its not easy being an admin

Subject: Yay!! Left my server running and no crashes...
...don't want to say that I've solved my server crashing problem but I left it running from 2pm EST yesterday after fixing the de_village crash and there were people playing on it yesterday and it did not crash and when I came in this morning, I could see two complete cycles through the map list with no crashes so things aer looking up.
Time to install some more mods
Gonna go and try to get the "humiliation" mod for when people get knife killed so sharpen those knives folks - guns are for noobs!!

not that I ever have anything that I want to keep for posterity but just in case but more because everyone else seems to know how to do it apart from me

Subject: excellent idea.. kind of like....
the Christmas day football match during World War1, we can make a temporay truce, both sides meet up somewhere for a screen shot then get back to killing each other. As admin with the big white writing you need to organise it nix. It would be good to have all varietes of T and CT!

fix, PLEASE just try and restrain yourself until we get the shot, a liitle bit of self control is all we're asking, it won't take long honest and I'm sure it will be worth it!
