Subject: prefer it to be an option

For the sake of opening a web page i'd personally prefer to scan the message board rather than be bombarded with emails

about every little twist in the plot re puppies etc. (good stuff tho'!

Email postings are more useful for announcements of substance which netk can and does do. I'd opt out of gnx board emails on this basis.

Subject: Yeah, I'd opt out too. Maybe what we need is....

a button for those of us too lazy to go to the netk site on a regular basis. This button would be for announcing games and would rattle off an email to the netk site. Hey I've installed my no-ip client on my server so it should update the dns records every five minutes as to what its IP address is. Only thing to do now is get it started on boot - this appears to be amazingly complicated though. I like liinux but I can definitely see why it isn't as popular as windows - to be able to use it you have to love wading through howtos for a significant portion of your time.

Subject: keeping up

that's all very well for all of you with enough time to check the board at a your leisure. Personally I only get to check it several times an hour and sometimes discover a posting that has been there for as long as 15 or 20 minutes without me knowing about it. Just to be on the safe side. maybe we can also get text messages sent to our mobiles, just in case a someone posts a message while we are sleeping or away from our computers. Lets' face it, with all the differant time zones we're in it could easily happen.
