Subject: name servers
ok heres the story,
Bought domain from swithplus.ch, registered domain with route53 when I tried to add name servers with switchplus I get the error (3 out of the 4 - it took one) name servers not registered with us - route53 need to contact us to register, posted this to route53 and they said>
Hello,
Every Route53 domain will have a unique set of name servers.
It's normal practice for registrars to accept user entered IP addresses as name servers. If your registrar is not able to do this, then you will not be able to use them with Route53.
Sorry about that.
Richard
switch say
The name servers from a different hosting provider you want to register with a DOMAIN, must be registered with our database by your hosting provider beforehand. Please contact the hosting provider managing the name servers, so that he can register it with the database himself.
Note: You will also receive this error message, if you provided the IP addresses instead of the names of the name servers. You must provide the names of the name servers at all times
(e.g. ns1. yourprovider.ch).
So whats the easiest option? move domain name, let it expire and buy back from someone else (it expires in Dec find another name server host?

Normally it doesn't matter where your authoritative name servers are.
I would say move the domain name
