it looks like we won't be connecting tonight since we now have 2 computers down...
burner is not currently autodtecting its hard drive
other machine can't load windows... nightmare!
will update in a couple of hours

autodetecting HDs is ok though - I sometimes leave machines like that for years - I take it its worse than that though
if you've got a machine not loading windows I think its time to wipe the system partition (leaving the games on the data partition in tact - take note Dex) and reinstall. Get to it

Burner appears to have a fucked motherboard.. tried flashing the bios but it's not interested.... might have to write this machine off as legacy.
The other machine has a looong way to go....

burner responded to another bin flashing - tho 1 IDE channel still fucked
i can run hard drive through CD IDE - Burner is up!
os loading on other machine will take a while but assume it will be ok...
