Kaiser, I talked to grix and his dialup from NZ was better than your ISDN from UK so you have definitely got good reason to go shout at BT - the wankers! if you get someone round then don't let them go until you have an average ping of 70 or less (and absolutely nothing above 300) to your local google - that should translate into always less the 450 to here which is playable - you were getting sustained ping times of 1200+ Thanks to everyone for putting up with my flakey server - might have to take a look at that over the weekend. If anyone is up for anymore just let me know

i am indeed.... had technical problems, moniter had packed up, but am now sitting with nice new 17 inch flat screen, hmmm nice, nice nice .. anyone gaming at the moment

Hey Del, if you wanna play then get yourself onto ICQ and/or skype and then when there's four of us online, we can start thinking about playing You realise of course that by this time, whether you had a valid excuse or not, no-one is gonna be up for arranging a time to play with you because they would feel like utter utter fools but given time and sufficient acts of dedication, we may just start to trust you again Let me give you an example: you said you would play saturday morning (and although I didn't believe you for a second, I figured everyone deserves a 22nd chance) - now on friday night i found that i had left my keys to sylvie's place and my laptops and gaming pc in her house and she has gone away for a month. However, I knew that not having a pc was no excuse and I knew I couldn't let you and the neilson's down so I stole my work machine and a new mouse and dropped into future shop to pickup a new headset. When I got home, I found I didn't have enough power leads so I went out and found a late night pc store and bought some. I had some pretty confusing network problems but stuck at it nonelthless. I then installed steam (from an australian site as the one on steam.com was corrupted) and then spent the next several hours downloading and updating my steam games and the maps and making sure they would run. Somehow I managed to find the time to update the server too but hey I choose to carry that burden [another example would be the perfectly selfless way in which Rex has spent hours nae weeks setting up both of Stix's machines - perhaps you'd like to take Del through that one in a little greater detail yourself rex?] You see Del, I will do whatever it takes to make sure that when I say I will be somewhere, I'll be there Now get yourself onto ICQ/SKYPE and be prepared to lose your bedroom rights in an all-out effort to make it up to us
