hey my server only crashed once (or was it twice) the server crashing is a momentary thing - the big time killer last night was you lot updating this and that and drew not having opengl support. don't diss the server - at least not any more than it deserves - the other time you got confused cos i was changing levels and then changed again by accident - oops . EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET ALL THE MAP PACKS hey rex did you try d3d for drew's machine? looks like he needs to go install the latest drivers for his card and maybe install the latest directx too. kath came online just after we all finished last night and was sorry to miss us also, its good to test before we play as last night showed so del, rex, drew, and anyone else who wants to test that everything is working, just let me know and i will fire up the server from work and give you admin access so you can test all the important levels. think there are strange things happening with my server though but its hard to tell when you're ripped - dunno whether its steam constantly issuing updates and fucking things up or whether i need to reinstall the os and everything else on my game server or just make sure all the mods are up-to-date.... will get it sorted this week hopefully

except maybe some maps :1 drew came round to get his machine steamed but his card was in need of something.. very big pixels - that's why you managed to shoot him my old comms laptop was behaving as if it was hacked with strange windows opening as fast as i could shut them.. i blamed icq but.... i should make it a pure linux machine but still don't understand what the f* it's about and yes nix more testing required then we won't waste a proper games sesh

indeed, we are very very close but we need to make sure all machines are up to it, hmm and yes it seems like your machine was a little messesd up, have you doen a virii scan, it seems like you are infected, you do know that your machine can handle cs and icq and skype at the same time, i have them going, was reason was able to chat still. And maybe we could give it another go over the weekend, sunday evening, just to get ready for a hard week at the office. ;-) oh and rex go for the pure linux machine, you will become a better man for it, or a very frustrated man ;-) is there any user friendly linux distro's now, even redhat is still a bit too geeky for me... . laters think i am going to go for a graphics card update as well.. .radeon 9200 canna handle heros of world war 2

I know, its a mixed blessing: when the geforce 256 came out me and grix just about wet ourselves with excitement but you can play CS without hardware T&L and so I've always been dubious of how much difference hardware T&L were making UNTIL NOW now with this latest generation of games, its impossible to play without a 16 parallel hardware implemented T&L pipelines (effectively 16 geforce 256s in parallel plus much much more) and so I guess we wet ourselves a little prematurely (isn't it always the case ) but for me, that time has finally arrived and if I can't afford food because I've spent all my money on the best card I can lay my paws on then so be it

If you haven't go it already, get AVG free edition and AD-aware also free. Kaspersky do a 15 day trial of thier anti virus software which does a good job and you can also get loads of specific virus removal tools from Kaspersky
