Subject: geekish question

I'm in A'dam with a broadband connection. Is there any way of finding out through my computer who the service provider is so that I can then find out the smtp server?

Subject: try...

- Start Menu -> Run, type cmd and at the prompt type ipconfig /all pick a DNS server ip address and enter it in the box on this page and hit Submit the first line of the results will read something like eg TraceRoute to 210.55.12.1 [ns1.orcon.net.nz] the name in the square brackets will give you the provider (eg orcon )- then google their name and "smtp server" and hey presto - ask the person who owns the computer - just look in the account settings for the mail program on the machine
